Chef Edward Boarland began his career as a teenager, working his way up through the ranks in European kitchens and honing his craft under the vigilant supervision of some of the most highly acclaimed chefs in England and France.
Chef Edward flourished under demanding conditions at Michelin-starred landmark restaurants on both sides of the English Channel, including The Waterside Inn in Bray, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London and Gordon Ramsay Au Trianon in Versailles, acquiring a relentless drive for perfection and a sense of military-like professionalism. Those skills served Chef Edward well in his tenure as sous chef at Rafael, the world-renowned, upscale kosher restaurant in Paris that caught the attention of major French newspapers including Le Figaro and Le Point and the first kosher restaurant to merit mention by the prestigious Michelin guide in its 2016 edition.
As the only kosher fine dining establishment in Europe, Rafael attracted gourmands from all over the world, providing carefully conceived, spectacular cuisine and a luxury experience that left guests feeling well attended and pampered. Using the many skills he acquired in his Michelin-star training, Chef Edward was a key component of Rafael, where every dish was researched down to the last drop of oil or sprig of herbs that was artfully placed on the plate. He looks forward to introducing his superbly crafted classic French cuisine along with his insightful culinary inspirations to kosher diners in New York during his engagement at Prime West.
